RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our Vehicle IT team within the IT Engineering group in Portland, OR.

Overview:
This team develops and supports high-impact, enterprise-grade applications that power engineering, manufacturing, and aftermarket operations across the company. Our tech stack includes Java, .NET (C#), React, and Python, with applications deployed on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

In this senior role, you will play a key part in the design, development, and deployment of modern, cloud-native solutions. You will be responsible for both frontend and backend architecture, driving best practices in full stack development, performance optimization, and cloud scalability. Your expertise will help modernize mission-critical systems used in vehicle visualization, manufacturing operations, and other cutting-edge use cases.

As a senior engineer, you will collaborate with IT, engineering, and manufacturing teams, and lead technical decision-making that supports global manufacturing operations and long-term digital transformation initiatives.

What You Will Drive:
* Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud-native applications using Java, .NET, and Azure technologies
* Develop and deploy containerized applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient delivery
* Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, and IT to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
* Provide architectural input for integrating new technologies and modernizing legacy systems
* Own the end-to-end development lifecycle, from design through implementation, deployment, and support
* Participate in code reviews, promote best practices, and ensure code quality across the development team
* Troubleshoot and optimize applications to ensure performance, availability, and scalability across distributed environments

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
* 5+ years of experience in full stack development with a strong focus on Java or .NET (C#)
* Experience with common observability tools like Splunk, Datadog, or ThousandEyes
* Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure, including services like AKS, App Services, Key Vault, Azure DevOps, etc.
* Proven experience with cloud-native application development, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD automation
* Strong architectural skills with the ability to design complex, scalable, and secure systems
* Ability to mentor developers, lead code reviews, and drive best practices across teams
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional, enterprise environments

Exceptional Candidates Might Have:
* Experience in large-scale enterprise or manufacturing environments, ideally within the automotive industry
* Familiarity with CAD integrations (e.g., Siemens NX, AutoCAD) or engineering tools used in vehicle development
* Hands-on experience building modern frontends using React or similar JavaScript frameworks
* Working knowledge of event-driven architectures, RESTful APIs, and microservices
* Exposure to infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and Ansible
* Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, automated testing frameworks, and cloud security
* Passion for innovative technologies in the connected vehicle or manufacturing space
