Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Cable Technician in Greenville, South Carolina. The role includes working with different types of equipment and home security systems in both residential and commercial settings. This role requires a specific set of certifications and end-user training, and provides white-glove service to our clients.

Responsibilities:

Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of broadband, EO/IR systems, OSP, Patch Panel, and networking equipment
Execution of cable installation tasks, including handling coax cable and digital systems
Utilize AB testing methods to ensure the optimal functioning of all systems
Regular interaction with clients to provide end-user training on equipment and home security systems
Ensure all cabling tasks are completed accurately, adhering to industry standards
Conduct regular checks on customer's equipment and systems to ensure optimal functioning
Collaborate with team members on both junior and senior levels to complete projects efficiently
Provide excellent customer service, addressing and resolving customer inquiries and issues in a timely manner
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures during installations and maintenance.

Requirements

Proficiency in broadband technology
Knowledge of EO/IR systems
Strong networking skills
Familiarity with Outside Plant (OSP) operations
Ability to work with patch panels
Experience in AB Testing
Proficient in cable installation
Experience in cabling
Knowledge of Coax Cable
Understanding of digital technology
Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair cable issues
Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Willingness to work in various weather conditions and at heights
Ability to carry and climb a 75-pound, 28-foot extension ladder
Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
High school diploma or equivalent education level required
Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
