We are now seeking an exceptional AI Practice Lead to spearhead and expand our AI practice. We are looking for an individual with deep technical expertise, business acumen, and a passion for delivering real-world AI solutions.
As the AI Practice Lead, you will be the strategic and technical leader for all AI initiatives at Svitla. This is a hybrid role that combines technical leadership, hands-on solution delivery, pre-sales consulting, client engagement, and AI thought leadership.
Technical Requirements
- Deep hands-on expertise across a broad range of AI/ML technologies and tools, including but not limited to:
- AI/ML Frameworks & Libraries: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-Learn, Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain
- LLMs & Generative AI: GPT-4, OpenAI API, Claude, fine-tuning, embeddings, RAG pipelines
- Computer Vision: OpenCV, YOLO, Detectron2, MediaPipe
- NLP/NLU: spaCy, NLTK, BERT-family models, NER, text classification
- MLOps & Deployment: MLflow, DVC, Kubeflow, Vertex AI, SageMaker, Azure ML
- Data Engineering & Pipelines: Pandas, NumPy, SQL, Spark, Airflow, Databricks, BigQuery
- Cloud Platforms: Azure (preferred), AWS, or Google Cloud (Google Cloud Platform) for AI/ML deployments
- Software Development: Proficiency in Python (must), with solid experience in API development (FastAPI, Flask), containerization (Docker), version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines
- Bonus: Familiarity with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate), graph databases, or AI agent frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, AutoGen).
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field from a reputable, accredited university is required.
- Master s Degree (MS, MEng, or equivalent) in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a closely related field is strongly preferred.
Preferred Experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in software development and AI/ML engineering.
- 5+ years of hands-on AI solution delivery in a client-facing or consulting capacity.
- Experience leading AI strategy engagements, AI solution design, and technical delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to support sales teams in AI solution scoping, proposal creation, and pre-sales discussions.
- Proven success in mentoring and building technical teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical AI concepts into business impact.
Responsibilities:
- Practice Leadership & Growth
- Growing and shaping the AI practice.
- Participating in client calls as the AI Subject Matter Expert to help close deals.
- Leading and contributing to the delivery of AI projects as a billable resource.
- Overseeing and mentoring AI engineers and technical teams.
- Driving innovation and ensuring Svitla s AI solutions are best-in-class.
- Define the strategic direction, service offerings, and technical roadmap for Svitla s AI practice.
- Identify market trends, AI technologies, and client needs to ensure Svitla remains a competitive leader in AI services.
- Develop AI frameworks, reusable assets, and best practices for delivery teams.
- Pre-Sales & Business Development Support
- Partner with sales teams to engage in client discovery calls, video meetings, and technical deep dives as the AI Subject Matter Expert.
- Help craft proposals, solutions, project estimates, and statements of work that align AI technologies with client business objectives.
- Build credibility and client confidence during pre-sales discussions, translating complex AI concepts into tangible business outcomes.
- AI Project Delivery & Billable Work. Lead and contribute to the design, architecture, and development of AI solutions for clients, including:
- Large Language Models (LLMs), GPT/Transformer-based systems
- Computer Vision (CV) and Image Processing
- Natural Language Processing (NLP)
- Generative AI and Foundation Models
- Predictive Analytics and Machine Learning (ML) Models
- MLOps pipelines and production deployment
- Data Engineering for AI: data wrangling, feature engineering, model tuning
- Act as a hands-on AI Architect/Engineer when required.
- Oversee the work of AI engineers and data scientists to ensure technical excellence.
- Team Development & Mentorship
- Mentor and coach AI engineers, data scientists, and software developers across the AI practice.
- Support the recruitment of top-tier AI talent and foster a collaborative, innovative team culture.
- Thought Leadership & Client Engagement
- Serve as a trusted AI advisor to clients, helping them define AI strategies, evaluate technologies, and adopt AI solutions effectively.
- Contribute to marketing and knowledge-sharing efforts (e.g., white papers, blogs, webinars, speaking at industry events).
- Build long-term client relationships by delivering measurable outcomes and innovative AI solutions.
