Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Client EMS Expert to join our energy management team. This role requires deep expertise in Client Energy Management Systems (EMS), with a strong focus on Real-Time SCADA integration, system validation, and end-to-end EMS lifecycle support. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the reliable operation, configuration, testing, and optimization of the Client EMS platform for mission-critical grid operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of Client EMS solutions for real-time grid operations.
- Integrate Real-Time SCADA systems with EMS, ensuring seamless data acquisition and control.
- Perform system validation, testing, and commissioning of EMS applications and interfaces.
- Collaborate with grid operators, engineers, and IT teams to ensure EMS meets operational and regulatory requirements.
- Support advanced EMS applications such as state estimation, contingency analysis, load forecasting, and network security analysis.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to EMS/SCADA integration and performance.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, validation protocols, and operational procedures.
- Provide user training, mentoring, and technical guidance for EMS operations staff.
- Stay current with Client Grid Solutions upgrades, patches, and new EMS functionalities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience working with Client EMS platforms in utility or grid operations environments.
- Proven expertise in Real-Time SCADA systems, data modeling, and grid control applications.
- Strong hands-on experience in EMS system validation, testing, and commissioning.
- Solid understanding of power system operations, grid reliability standards, and industry best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Strong communication skills to interface with stakeholders, vendors, and operators.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Client Grid Solutions' Advanced EMS suite, including specific modules (e.g., State Estimator, Load Flow, AGC).
- Familiarity with NERC CIP compliance requirements.
- Experience in scripting, database management, or EMS customization is a plus.
