IT Business Analyst

Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Business Analyst with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Requirements:

• Ability to build and maintain data and reporting environments
• Primarily building an SQL environment with proficiency in other reporting tools such as Access, Tableau, Excel, etc.
• Able to think independently as well as self-solve project issues and business requirements using resources available to them including but not limited to peers, documentation, tools in which they have access
• Strong communication and written skills as well as ability to interact professionally with leaders of all levels as well as with their peers
• Ability to self-manage tasks but know when to reach out to peers and managers for assistance
• Microsoft SSIS
• MS SQL Server (Database and Table Design, Reporting)
• Proficient in writing T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views
• Data Analysis (File compares, data source analysis)
• Excel Reporting (Pivots, Charts, Slicers, linking to External Data Sources)
• MS Access (Database and Table Design, Macros, Reporting)
• Comfortable troubleshooting existing code
• Strong hands-on experience using SQL Server Management Studio
• Experience developing and maintaining SSIS packages in Visual Studio

Desired skills:

• VB Script (Task Automation, Implementing VBA Modules with Access or MS SQL Server)
• Tableau Development
• SharePoint (create and modify SharePoint lists)
• PowerPoint (create PowerPoint slides and presentations, user guides)
