About Role Description:

Oracle DB developer responsible for defining solutions, deploying, and operating infrastructure technology services for Application Hosting and/or End Users. This function is focused on standardization, automation and lean methods to achieve best-in-class service and cost while being aligned to our sectors and regions for speed and responsiveness..

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and direction in area of Oracle infrastructure technology specialization to support platforms and sectors
  • Apply the discipline of engineering to deliver critical Oracle DB platform support and optimize platform/sector functionality
  • Fully understand, support, and define platform and areas supported to minimize risks and impact to customers,
  • Review issues and escalations, as well as resolve production problems, ensuring that status and technical matters are reported to management in a timely manner
  • Utilize skillset to provide support, trouble-shooting and performance-tuning within Oracle DB technical domain
  • Support the creation and implementation of system improvements that will improve performance and reliability while maintaining controls
  • Work closely with our App partners for new projects from initiation to production cutover. Identify cost saving opportunities & implement creative DB solutions for clients (collaborate with Infrastructure Delivery team as needed)
  • Take the lead on Development related initiatives, ensuring they are tracked and reported in a timely manner
  • Engage with Application Production Support and Development seniors to ensure stability and operational standards are followed across the estate
  • Provide guidance and direction to less senior Team members, ensuring they can develop further and help the Team to grow
  • Stakeholder Management and People Responsibilities
  • Work effectively with virtual and remote team members exercising critical thinking to resolve issues and presenting technical findings accurately to internal customers and leadership
  • Act as a liaison between various businesses providing direction and support to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Directly impact the business by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others; impacts own team and closely related work teams by providing mentoring and training to junior members of the team
  • Actively contribute towards self-development by creating and following development plans based on discussions with management

Mandatory Skills:

  • Strong Oracle DB developers.
  • Should have a good knowledge in Oracle SQL,PL/SQL and Advanced PL/SQL along with knowledge of data model.
  • The developer will need experience in Oracle, SQL, and writing stored procedures to gather the data used for the reports.
  • Excellent skills with SQL (advance queries, Performance , tuning)
  • Experience with MongoDB and Document DB required. (required)
  • Experience with migration from Mongo DB to Document DB required.
  • Experience with Data Lake and Data Warehousing applications.
  • Experience with database monitoring & administration tools.
  • Experience with RDBMS like Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL & MS SQL Server.
  • Experience on design configuration standards for MongoDB, Document DB & RDBMS databases.
  • Experience on developing database engineering solutions for MongoDB, Document DB & RDBMS databases.
  • Experience on Enforce database security policies and audit logging mechanisms.
  • Experience in database automation provisioning, upgrades, security patches & monitoring.
  • Experience in defining procedures for database backup, recovery and retention, disaster recovery.

Mandatory certificate:

  • MongoDB Certified DBA - Associate Level.
