- As such, the IT Department of Client is seeking multiple senior-level architect positions across multiple IT disciplines to lead and foster high quality, complex and innovative IT solutions. Requirements Core Candidates must have significant expertise in technology and ability to drive innovation.
- Candidates are expected to leverage these skills to design, architect and deploy IT solutions. Candidates will develop, communicate, and influence strategic direction, and represent IT at the executive level.
- Candidates are expected to collaborate with peers from various groups in IT and the lines of business.
- Candidates are expected to develop and manage high quality, integrated IT solutions utilizing strong project management skills.
- Candidates are expected to stay abreast of changes in the industry and apply best practices. Candidates are expected to identify solutions based on detailed analysis that includes various factors (technology platform, support, costs, integration, etc.) Candidates are expected to develop architectural designs, implement solutions as well as conduct quality reviews in their area of expertise.
- Candidates must drive for results. Candidate is also expected to develop roadmaps and effectively influence both IT and business leadership on those roadmaps.
- Candidates must demonstrate that they have strong technical judgment (based on expertise and research), strong emotional intelligence, and foster a strong team attitude.
- Candidates must have strong written and oral communication skills. Candidates are expected to demonstrate independent judgment and act as technical lead for multiple projects from high level design to full implementation.
- This includes resolving complex technical issues through troubleshooting as well as influencing others on the best course of action and drive the team towards resolution.
- Candidates are also expected to evaluate, develop, and mentor junior technical staff and provide technical training recommendations.
- Candidates must have a bachelor s degree preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or business-related discipline; Master's Degree preferred.
- In addition, a minimum of 8 years of experience developing solutions using various development tools is also required.
Client is looking for an architect in the following disciplines:
Distributed Environment Architect:
- C++, ASP.NET, JAVA, VB/C#, and Microsoft SQL Server/Oracle database.
- Business Analysis, System Architecture, Application Design, UML, Database Design/Analysis, Data Modeling and SQL, Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG), Mobile Application Development, Web Services, MVC, MVVM, WPF, XML, XSL, XSD, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Packages, BizTalk, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, data modeling tools and any automated testing tools.
- This includes vendor package experience, such as Oracle (PeopleSoft/EBS), CIG (Logica), Maximo and Extract/Transform/Load tools are a plus.
- Experience in Gas Operations or Electric Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities for this position are to define solution strategies, data model and processes to support Gas Operations in the areas of asset and work management, including field information capture and the following:
- Collaborating with IT teams, business units and vendors to define a comprehensive solution strategy that addresses Gas business requirements.
- Maintaining industry awareness of gas compliance needs and associated technologies.
- Evaluating application portfolio and formulating rationalization strategies to be incorporated in the medium and long-term plans/roadmaps.
- Researching new technology opportunities for data acquisition, asset and work management practices including mobile data capture.
- Developing system models and solution estimates.
- Designing, documenting, constructing, and deploying database architectures and applications (e.g., large relational databases).
- Integrating technical functionality (e.g., scalability, security, performance, data recovery, reliability, etc.).
- Implementing measures to ensure stability, data accuracy, usability, and accessibility.
- Monitoring, refining, and reporting on the performance of systems.
- Integrating new systems with existing systems.
- Developing and enforcing technology standards.
- Developing staff as needed.
- Managing projects including but not limited to resources, scope, budget (costs), schedule & overall project plans.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop roadmaps for the integration of business processes, applications, technologies, and infrastructure, including vendor & internally developed applications.
