Description: Our client is currently seeking a Network Engineer III

Work Location: Colorado Springs, CO - Travel Possible

Shifts: 1st shift

Onsite/remote/hybrid: Onsite

  • C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight.
  • C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks, integrates and synchronizes autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance.
  • C2BMC is an integral part of all system ground and flight tests which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.
- Candidate will be a primary Network Engineer supporting the C2BMC Program.
- Candidate will be responsible for planning, deploying, integrating, and testing upgrades to the C2BMC network to operational sites.
- Candidate will be responsible for traveling to remote locations to lead and perform network installations, independently perform troubleshooting, and provide status updates to Program personnel.
- Must be a proven network engineer with hands-on mid-level experience and knowledge of network design, development and testing methodologies.
- Must have an understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP, routing protocols BGP and OSPF.
- Must have network traffic analysis, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Must have firewall experience - especially Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto
- Must have experience in UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs.
- Must have hands on experience with multi-vendor switching routing (Juniper, Cisco), WAN optimizer, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment.
- Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint and Visio.
- Must thrive and do your best work in a collaborative and agile environment.
- Must understand standard DOD security practices such as, STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts.
- Familiarization with virtualization technologies - NFV, SDWAN, VMware, VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX, vSAN, and Aria (Desired)
-Experience with network automation using Ansible (Desired)
- The position requires an IAT Level II 8570 Compliant Certification such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.
- The position is based at a LM facility in Colorado Springs, CO in the long-term, however, this role must be able to travel to alternate work locations, such as Schriever Space Force Base, Alaska, Guam, Europe, etc., to execute job duties such as deployments.

Education:

The position requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (i.e. EE, CIS, CPE, MIS, IT), or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
