Technical Assistant Project Lead - Network
1 year
Princeton IN- onsite position 5 days per week
Hours: 7:30AM-4:15PM CT daily, 10% overtime expected.
Max pay rate: $55/hr w2 + benefits
NOT available on 1099 or C2C. No 3rd parties please.

Job Description:

Client is looking for:
  • Candidate will be required to oversee and assist installation & configuration of LAN, Telco, Data Center, A/V infrastructure and application deployment.
  • Candidates should be able to work under pressure.
  • Requires the ability to create and manage project activity.
  • Ability to take direction as well as being a "self-starter".
  • Some after-hours and weekend work will be required.
Candidates will be doing:
  • The Technical Assistant Project Lead is responsible for new project support, troubleshooting and installation of IT infrastructure equipment.
  • This can consist of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, servers, and networking equipment in the environment.
  • Requires experience working directly with customers and Regional I.T. support personnel.
  • Responsible for local coordination, installation and ongoing support of various Manufacturing and Administrative computer systems.
  • Very strong knowledge of Cisco Networking and Windows environment is required.

  • Knowledge of the following: Cisco Layer 2 & Layer 3 Routing, Cisco Wireless Networks, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, IT Cabling Infrastructure (Fiber, Copper, Telco), Windows 11, Windows Servers, Windows Active Directory
  • Working knowledge/experience of PC imaging tools (SCCM), diagnosis and remote-control tools.
  • Working knowledge/experience supporting Hardware and cabling for servers and other Data Center hardware appliances
  • Experience in Service Management, Change Mgmt., Outage & Problem Management and other ITIL-based best practices.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco standard protocols and other IT network technologies including but not limited to: DNS, DHCP, TCPIP/UDP Firewall Rules
  • Basic understanding of SQL Server databases (Application Connectivity/Configuration) knowledge is a plus.
  • Data Center and site infrastructure (Power/UPS, HVAC, cabling, etc.) knowledge/proficiency is preferred.
Added bonus if Candidate have (Preferred):
  • CCNA Wireless and CCNA Routing and Switching certifications are plus.
  • Project management skills a plus.
  • Manager is looking for someone who has 5 to 10 years of experience with Firewalls, VLAN, Networking cables.
  • Top 3 skills: Physical networking, Copper and Fiber cabling.
  • Project manager a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Duration: 12 months (possible extension)
  • Location: Princeton, IN (fully on-site)
  • Work Hours: 7:30 AM to 4:15 PM CST
  • Overtime: 10%

Pay Range: $50- $55/hr w2 + benefits

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
