This role supports the development of AI-enabled web-based software designed to assist pathologists and other physicians in delivering optimal patient care. The primary focus will be on clinical AI-enabled digital hematopathology, automating repetitive tasks and improving diagnostic workflows.

We are seeking a Software Engineer I - Digital Pathology to join our team at MSKCC DPLM. This role supports the development of AI-enabled web-based software designed to assist pathologists and other physicians in delivering optimal patient care. The primary focus will be on clinical AI-enabled digital hematopathology, automating repetitive tasks and improving diagnostic workflows.
Role Overview
- Support the development of AI-enabled web-based software that assists pathologists and physicians in delivering optimal patient care.
- Focus on advancing clinical AI-enabled digital hematopathology solutions.
- Automate repetitive pathology tasks to streamline physician workflows.
- Build and maintain AI-driven web applications supporting clinical pathology use cases.
- Collaborate closely with software developers, AI engineers, and physicians.
- Translate user feedback into functional features and technical solutions.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle from concept to deployment.
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and usability for clinical settings.
- Contribute to improving diagnostic accuracy and workflow efficiency.
Key Qualifications
- Proven experience in full-stack web development with emphasis on Python and Django.
- Proficiency in frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (AJAX, jQuery, Bootstrap).
- Strong backend expertise with Python, Apache2, and PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with AWS, GitHub, VS Code, and Postman.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment.
