The Boeing Company is actively recruiting for a contract part time Guidance Navigation and Control Engineer to join the team in Hill AFB, UT or Layton, UT.

Boeing Defense and Space Systems is growing in the area of aircraft, missile, weapons and autonomous system Guidance Navigation and Control (GN&C) system design, development, integration and test. Flight Engineering is looking for a motivated and talented engineer to join the Boeing team in this exciting business area for the Minuteman III Sustainment program. The candidate supports Sustainment in a wide range of existing and new areas of GN&C, performance analysis, simulation solutions, Nuclear Hardness and Survivability, and inertial instruments. The selected candidate will have visibility into G&C and simulation methods across the Boeing enterprise.

Position Responsibilities:

Gather system level requirements for Guidance, Navigation and Control (GN&C), sustainment requirements definition

Perform & document analysis of Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) systems, simulations, models & tools

Support reviews, analyses, simulations and component / system testing to ensure delivery of products that meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations

Support testing and troubleshooting of sustainment related products / service anomalies and incidents

Participate in Minuteman III Guidance efforts to ensure End of Life (EOL) can be sustained or surpassed

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Required Skills:

Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer

9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience and coursework in Control Systems or Guidance, Navigation and Control System design

Preferred Skills:

Experience with simulation and/or system/component modeling

Experience with Kalman Filter design, estimation techniques

Experience with implementing algorithms in real time systems

Experience with auto-coding of software

Experience or coursework in computer programming in C, C#, C++, Ada or other common programming languages

Minuteman III Guidance system knowledge
