Position Title: Google Cloud Platform Cloud Architect / MultiCloud Architect
Location: Tarrytown, NY / Sleepy Hollow, NY (Onsite)
Hire Type: Contract

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Google Cloud Platform/Multi-Cloud Architect to join our growing team onsite in New York. This role is pivotal in driving the architecture, implementation, and governance of secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions across Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), AWS, Azure, and on-premise environments. You will be responsible for leading technical engagements, collaborating with diverse teams, and delivering enterprise-grade cloud architectures that meet evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end architecture and delivery of multi-cloud solutions (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure, on-premise)

  • Architect and deploy Anthos, Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, AKS), and build a unified Enterprise Kubernetes (CaaS) platform

  • Define and implement Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) and DevOps best practices

  • Design scalable, reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform Enterprise

  • Establish and integrate observability frameworks: metrics, logging, tracing (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Jaeger, Dynatrace, Splunk)

  • Build resilient network, security, backup, and disaster recovery architectures across environments

  • Facilitate client workshops, elicit business and technical requirements, and present solution roadmaps

  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and security teams to ensure smooth implementation and delivery

  • Mentor junior architects and cloud engineers, fostering best practices and architectural excellence

  • Participate in onsite client engagements and team leadership activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s or Master s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering roles

  • 5+ years of deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, operations)

  • Proven expertise in Anthos and hybrid/multi-cloud orchestration

  • Extensive experience with Terraform Enterprise in large enterprise environments

  • Strong DevOps skills with CI/CD pipelines and integration of security controls

  • Hands-on experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk, Jaeger)

  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, IAM, encryption, WAF, and Zero Trust principles

  • Experience architecting multi-cloud backup and disaster recovery strategies

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to lead client workshops, deliver presentations, and engage with executives

  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications:

    • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect

    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional

    • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

  • Experience with Service Mesh (Istio, Linkerd) and API Gateway patterns

  • Familiarity with GitOps frameworks (Argo CD, Flux) and Policy-as-Code (OPA, Gatekeeper)

  • Understanding of FinOps and cloud cost optimization best practices

  • Prior experience working in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance, government)
