Job Title: SMT Programmer Location: Fort Worth, TX (Onsite)
Duration: 1-year

Brief Job Description:
Must have necessary skills to perform set-up, operation, shut down and operator maintenance of equipment used. Abilities must include understanding and performance to mechanical/electrical/electronic engineering drawings. This includes forming, drilling, de-burring, and other tasks required in obtaining surfaces to precision tolerances. Perform Touch-Up Painting of assemblies and subassemblies, utilizing Paint-Pens, Brushes, Spray Coating Equipment, and other methods. Perform In-process Testing, disassembly, diagnosis, repair, and reassembly of cables, wiring harnesses, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, backplane assemblies and power units including new production or modified items.
Responsibilities and Tasks (listed in bullet format) in order of priority to be successful
- Maintains the ability to perform problem solving repair rework/modification skills involving circuit card assemblies, wiring assemblies, mechanical assemblies.
- Removal and replacement of sub-assemblies using hand and semi-automated equipment.
- Ability to mechanically and electrically disassemble/reassemble electronic sub-assemblies and units.
- Demonstrates skills for removal and reapplication of paint, anodize compounds or conformal coatings on the SRU /LAU/Chassis of military or commercial production assemblies.
- Use of industry standard procedures to insure corrosion resistance of assemblies, subassemblies, or any other requested support
- Performs self-verification on tasks as required
- Performs potting and encapsulation of assemblies for environment protection as instructed
- Performs paint operations according to specifications, blueprints, and sketches, written or verbal instructions
- Performs functional testing of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Performs the measuring, mixing, and labeling of specialized adhesives for production areas as required
- Works with and handles liquid nitrogen as needed for adhesive storage and preparation
- Operate and maintain tool crib distributions.
- Performs layout, drilling, fitting, riveting, firing, sawing, shaping and other operations necessary to perform the work described above,
- Performs continuity and checkout of cables, harnesses, wiring of chassis assemblies and Shop Replaceable Units (SRU) verification using general purpose test equipment, ATE and MTEE automatic test equipment with recognized engineering procedures.
- Maintains accurate, complete records of work performed using proper procedures and forms.
- Uses wiring lists, schematics, blueprints, check sheets, instruction manuals and AEls as required.
- Applies prime and finish coats to production assemblies and subassemblies.
- Operate electronic data entry, storage, processing, and/or retrieval equipment as a routine part of accomplishing their normal work assignments.
- Assist Engineering personnel with prototyping as require
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- Hold all current certifications of the manufacturing specialist position
Skills and Abilities
- To understand the installation, assembly and basic operating principles of electronic, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components and equipment.
- Must understand electronics fundamentals.
- Must be able to diagnose wiring problems.
- Must understand and be able to apply standard electronic shop theory, practices and procedures to problem solving.
- Must have a basic understanding of electromechanical equipment and electrical devices such as connectors, relays circuit breakers, motors, contactors, lighting circuits, power motor equipment, etc.
