Job Details

Job Title: HFC Designer
Job at a Glance: The HFC Designer generates broadband system designs in the most cost-effective manner while maintaining the department’s standards and specifications.
Location: 100% Remote
Work Schedule: Tues-Saturday shift; day shift but flexible
Pay Rate: $30/hr W2 + optional benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k)
Duration of Contract: 6-month contract with extension/conversion possibility
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with project status updates to ensure timely progress and completion of procedural steps.
  • Create construction jobs from multiple intake sources, validating documentation and obtaining additional information as needed.
  • Leverage planning tools to assess nearby jobs for potential integration.
  • Participate in broadband system design using various software packages, preparing diagrams, charts, and graphic drawings.
  • Update and maintain system maps, keys, and design files, tracking current system spreadsheets and documents.
  • Ensure regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, including working nights, weekends, and overtime as necessary.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills:
  • HFC/Fiber/OSP Design experience
  • GIS experience highly preferred
  • Experience with milestone management software such as JT/Polaris or Salesforce
