ForcePoint SME (Migration and Configuration)

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled contractor to lead the migration, upgrade, and general configuration of ForcePoint platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ForcePoint solutions and a strong background in network security. In addition to the initial migration, configuration, and upgrade, they may be needing this person available to support the existing team of 4 with ongoing maintenance, training, etc. on ForcePoint- the team is generalists so this person will be the SME that will assist. This person will work simultaneous to the ForeScout SME.

What is ForcePoint?
Forcepoint is a cybersecurity company that offers products to protect data in various environments, including the cloud, web, email, network, and endpoints. It focuses on Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) solutions, aiming to secure data and prevent breaches. Forcepoint also provides services like Secure Web Gateway (SWG) and Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) to enhance data security.

Responsibilities:

  • Migration and Upgrade:
    • Plan and execute the migration to the latest version of ForcePoint.
    • Perform gradual upgrades to ensure minimal disruption and verify proper functionality
    • Backup and restore configurations as needed.
  • Configuration:
    • Configure ForcePoint to meet organizational security policies and compliance requirements.
    • Implement network segmentation, VLANs, and access control lists (ACLs) to enhance security
    • Integrate ForcePoint with existing network infrastructure and security tools
  • Testing and Validation:
    • Conduct thorough testing to ensure seamless integration and operation.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the deployment and operation of ForcePoint
  • Documentation and Support:
    • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, configuration guides, and operational procedures
    • Provide ongoing support and maintenance, including updates, patches, and upgrades
Requirements:
  • Proven experience with ForcePoint
  • Strong background in network security and cybersecurity.
  • Experience with network segmentation, VLANs, and ACLs.
  • Ability to develop and execute detailed project plans and timelines.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
