Devops Engineer with Linux Administration

Location: 100% Remote

Need Candidates who are eligible to avail security clearance

Role Description:

  • Documentation and Knowledge Transfer
  • Troubleshooting in Linux.
  • Logging and Auditing in Linux.
  • Automation of Linux and other application related processes with Devops, Jenkins, and Ansible Core.
  • Provide scripting an automation for Linux administration for automation.
  • Manually find and resolve Linux issues.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
  • Confer with others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
  • Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements. 3+ years experience implementing, and troubleshooting Linux in an enterprise, secure environment.
  • Experience with Devops, CI/CD platform, such as ansible, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar technologies.
  • Strong knowledge in Linux patching with DNF and YUM.

Desired Skills:

  • 3+ years experience implementing, and troubleshooting Linux in an enterprise environment
  • Experience with a Devops CI/CD platform, such as Ansible Core, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar technologies
  • Strong knowledge in Linux patching with DNF and YUM
  • Experience with Devops, ansible and Jenkins a must
  • Experience working in a secure environment
  • Strong knowledge of DNS/Networking and networking debugging with packet capture
  • Strong scripting in most of these: python, bash, zsh, ksh, csh
  • Strong configuration management knowledge and experience
  • Experience working in an OCI environment on virtual images
  • Ability to provide accurate and realistic effort estimates, commit and deliver accordingly.
  • Ability to work productively in a team environment and participate as a positive and cooperative team member.
  • Strong experience with Linux
  • Strong verbal, written, organizational and documentation skills.
