Job Details

A global investment firm with established presence in the technology, healthcare, and growth sectors is seeking to hire a Senior Security Administrator/Engineer to join the team at their Boston, Massachusetts headquarters. The duties associated with this full-time role will primarily include overseeing the coordination, maintenance, and augmentation of the company's security framework to bolster protection against incoming cyber threats.
In this position you will be directly involved in ensuring the protection of systems that manage the company's portfolio of over $30 billion in investments. The company's 40 years of experience have established them as a leading firm in private equity and venture capital, along with a vast network of connections with clients locally in Boston and beyond in the global landscape. With the breadth of their assets spanning from supply chain technologies to life science startups, your expertise in security will provide a global impact for a diverse variety of industries. In this role you will be involved in a variety of facets within security administration, including endpoints, IAM solutions, SIEM system logging and incident detection, as well as threat intelligence, forensics, and anti-malware. This diverse range of applications translates to a dynamic and engaging day-to-day work environment in the role. You will also work with the Enterprise Services team to analyze and measure security system success for endpoint users. This role additionally offers opportunity for leadership and involvement in high-impact decisions, as you collaborate with the Chief Compliance Officer/CIO/CISO and provide security dashboard updates to company executives.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with specific skills in compliance and risk management as well as network security engineering
  • Proficiency in security controls and standards, including Microsoft IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS
  • Significant experience in administering SIEM systems, IDS/IPS, PKI, IDAM systems, antivirus and firewall systems
  • Working knowledge of EDR and DLP strategies, as well as file integrity monitoring, threat intelligence platforms, and deception technologies
  • Technical and analytical background in technology design and implementation to deliver measurable results in monitoring and response capabilities
  • Responsible and trustworthy work ethic, and effective communication and collaboration skills
