Tenable Security Engineer
Key Role:

Join the Security Operations Center (SOC) team as a Tenable Security Engineer. I mplement and optimize enterprise vulnerability management solutions using Tenable.sc, Nessus, and other components of the Tenable ecosystem. I ntegrate Tenable with other enterprise security platforms and ensure that the vulnerability management program supports continuous monitoring, compliance, and risk reduction objectives . D eploy, configure, and optimize Tenable.sc and Nessus for enterprise-wide vulnerability management. Integrate Tenable with SIEMs, such as Elastic, ITSM platforms, such as ServiceNow, and asset inventories. Lead the design and implementation of custom dashboards, reports, and risk metrics aligned with agency or enterprise goals. Establish and maintain scanning schedules, policies, and credentialed scan configurations for heterogeneous environments, such as Windows, Linux, cloud, or OT.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity
  • 8+ years of experience with Tenable use, design, engineering, and implementation
  • Experience architecting and managing Tenable.sc, Nessus scanners, or Nessus Agents in large enterprise environments
  • Knowledge of networking, OS and application vulnerabilities, CVSS scoring, and asset risk assessment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, IT, Business, or Management field
  • Tenable Vulnerability Management, Tenable Security Center, or Tenable OT Security certification


Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a SOC or cyber operations environment
  • Experience with documentation
  • Experience with API integrations, data normalization, and vulnerability lifecycle management
  • Ability to brief technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
