Job Title: Enterprise Solution Architect – Supply Chain (Sourcing & Procurement)
Location: Seattle (Preferred) / Remote
Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Solution Architect to lead architecture strategy and solution design across the Supply Chain Sourcing & Procurement domain. This role sits within a consulting-led environment and partners closely with business and IT leaders to deliver scalable, enterprise-grade solutions supporting global supplier engagement, sourcing, and procurement transformation.
Key Responsibilities
< data-start=773 data-end=799>Architecture Strategy</>Define and evolve target and transition architectures for sourcing, procurement, and supplier engagement aligned with enterprise strategy.
Develop North Star architectures and phased roadmaps for global supply chain ecosystems.
Lead end-to-end solution architecture across multiple supply chain organizations (SCOs).
Ensure seamless integration and data flow across supplier management, sourcing, procurement, and ERP platforms.
Guide complex transformation initiatives from concept through implementation.
Partner with procurement leaders, category managers, product owners, and IT teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Act as a trusted architecture advisor for executive and senior leadership.
Establish and enforce architecture principles, standards, and best practices across sourcing and procurement initiatives.
Participate in Architecture Review Boards (ARB) and governance forums.
Assess, recommend, and support selection of sourcing, procurement, and supplier collaboration platforms.
Lead or support RFI/RFP processes, vendor evaluations, and solution comparisons.
Ensure solutions comply with global security, privacy, regulatory, and supplier risk requirements.
Incorporate supplier risk, compliance, and ESG considerations into solution designs.
Domain & Functional Expertise
Deep expertise in sourcing and procurement, including:
Supplier onboarding and qualification
Sourcing and contracting
Purchasing and payables
Supplier performance, risk, and compliance management
Strong understanding of Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes and supplier engagement models.
Experience enabling supplier, partner, and vendor interaction portals integrated with core enterprise systems.
Architecture Deliverables
Conceptual, logical, and process flow designs.
Detailed architecture artifacts, including:
Application and integration architecture diagrams
Data flow and system interaction models
Sequence and activity diagrams
Interface specifications and service contracts
Architecture roadmaps, transition plans, and solution option analyses.
Executive- and technical-level presentations and documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
< data-start=3220 data-end=3235>Experience</>10+ years of overall IT experience.
5+ years in enterprise or solution architecture roles.
8+ years of hands-on experience in sourcing, procurement, and supplier engagement within global supply chain environments.
Proven experience across the supplier lifecycle, including onboarding, qualification, performance monitoring, and risk management.
Industry experience in QSR, retail, or manufacturing is highly desirable.
Experience with supplier management and S2P platforms such as:
Ariba, Coupa, Ivalua, Aravo, HICX, APEX Analytics
Strong knowledge of ERP and procurement systems including SAP Ariba and Oracle Procurement Cloud.
Experience designing and integrating supplier portals and partner collaboration platforms.
Solid background in cloud-native architectures across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform.
Expertise in API-based and event-driven integrations for supplier data exchange.
Ability to define and drive target architectures for complex sourcing and procurement ecosystems.
Strong skills in architecture modeling, documentation, and solution storytelling.
Proven leadership in vendor evaluations, technology assessments, and procurement platform selection.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills across business and technical teams.
