Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Electrical Engineer with 2 6 years of experience to join our manufacturing operations team. This is a full-time, on-site position located in a high-paced manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will support a wide range of plant-based electrical systems, including production equipment, PLCs, power distribution, and electrical controls related to assembly lines.

In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and improving all electrical components that impact plant operations. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering, maintenance, and production teams to troubleshoot, optimize, and design electrical solutions that improve equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and overall plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day plant operations involving electrical and automation systems.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize manufacturing systems including PLCs, drives, sensors, and electrical panels.
  • Work with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs to support programming, diagnostics, and updates.
  • Assist with the design, development, and implementation of plant electrical systems and modifications.
  • Maintain and update electrical schematics, control diagrams, and related documentation.
  • Ensure safe and efficient power distribution throughout the plant.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime and enhance system reliability.
  • Support capital projects, upgrades, and installation of new equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety codes, standards, and plant procedures.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues impacting the performance of electrical systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 2 6 years of professional experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC systems, specifically Allen Bradley and Siemens.
  • Understanding of power distribution systems and industrial control systems.
  • Proficient in reading and creating electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical safety practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently and within a team.
  • Experience in the automotive or commercial manufacturing sector is a plus.
