Your Opportunity

Stantec Consulting, Inc. has an immediate opening for a full time CAD Technician with structural/civil engineering experience in our Las Cruces, NM office location.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Organizing and maintaining a digital file database for each project using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) software.
  • Facilitating and ensuring the quality of the drawings and graphic work produced for the team.
  • Communicating with other team members during the 3D model and plan production.
  • Understanding ACC file structures and modifications to files for exchanges with other team members.
  • Creating and understanding custom templates using Autodesk software.
  • Ensure CAD standards and styles, quality assurance and quality control procedures are followed during drawing planning and production.
  • Work to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Experience with civil roadway, utility or rail projects is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred (ACC training can be provided).
  • Strong attention to detail and presentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a "team player" approach to design and problem solving.
  • Ability to work within a team, sharing workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products.

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of CAD experience Position will primarily require work in an office setting; short term travel may be required on an occasional basis to perform field investigations or site visits.
