Data Scientist

M9 Solutions is seeking a Data Scientist to work hybrid remote/on-site on a government contract for a client located in Washington, DC.An active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Involved in full spectrum analytic technical support to operations and the intelligence lifecycle: requirements collection and refinement, translating user requirements into technical requirements, environment configuration, exploratory data analysis, model development, selection, and evaluation.
• Identify insights from analytic products and communicate results to a nontechnical audience.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify relevant and permissible data sources, access available infrastructure, and develop analytic products tailored to mission user requirements.
• Participate in architectural design discussions.
• Help make decisions on changes cloud infrastructure as needed to accommodate changing user requirements.
• Consider cost trade-offs of various cloud environment configurations and contribute to budget discussions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Work Authorization: ship is required.
• An active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• An AWS Certified Developer Associate certification is required.
• 4+ years of experience in computer science, data science, data analytics
• Experience executing data science methods using python libraries for data cleaning/wrangling, exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
• Agile development experience along with related technologies such as Jira.
• Ability to distill trends, illuminate latent patterns, and spotlight insights in an easy-to-consume manner for customers to act on clearly and succinctly.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with your technical colleagues and build rapport with the customer.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of version control, testing, and debugging.
• Familiarity and experience with the Intelligence Community and the intel cycle.

• M9 Solutions' pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include, but are not limited to, responsibilities of the position, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as internal equity, location, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
