JOB DESCRIPTION
Apex is seeking a dynamic Lead Consultant with strong consultative skills to act as a Technical Program Manager Internal Practice Consultant within our Consulting Practice as part of our Apex Systems Solutions Delivery Organization. This role is best suited for someone with a deep understanding of organizational operating models, various project management frameworks and best practices, to support all elements of the enterprise, including tools, processes and people perspectives. An ideal candidate shows a passion for mentoring, communicates clearly, and leverages tact in dealing with all levels of personnel while creating a compelling vision of the end game. This role will lead engagements, influence people, leaders and management that directly interface with and oversee transformations and migrations. The Lead Consultant will also provide subject matter expertise and will help to mentor Apex Systems' internal Consultants in their career growth and development. This role will be responsible for meeting client deliverables and internal consulting practice contributions and leadership.

RESPONSIBLITIES
- Establish strong relationships with clients, industry professionals, and technical communities. Represent Apex Systems as leaders at industry and professional events, while developing and maintaining a robust internal and external customer relationship.
- Exhibit technical knowledge, skills, and effective professional consulting abilities. Foster trust and respect among internal and external stakeholders and model collaborative teamwork.
- Evaluate the culture and structure of the organization, collaborate with client staff to establish a long-term vision and guiding principles, identify obstacles and impacts of initiatives, and create strategies that ensure successful implementation.
- Develop an engagement roadmap and related reporting for client delivery. Oversee and ensure all deliverables are met in alignment with the Statement of Work with a focus on exceptional delivery.
- Develop and track metrics to evaluate the performance of the project, including OKRs, KPIs and project success metrics. Create workflows, dashboards, and reports to provide the team with meaningful operational and performance metrics. Create and present bi-weekly and quarterly project status reports for clients.
- Support ad-hoc reporting, including KPIs / team-level metrics, etc. and materials for managers as needed.
- Oversee delivery planning, handle project risks, prepare documentation, and assist in team development by supporting their commitments, eliminating obstacles, and utilizing organizational resources to enhance project work capacity.
- Develop project plans, manage resources effectively, and adhere to budgetary requirements. Define and implement an intake process to ensure efficient handling of project requests and prioritization.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement, prioritize and manage the sequence of work, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs, while overseeing dependencies among various Infrastructure and Cloud teams, ensuring seamless integration and delivery.
- Lead and mentor other team members and direct reports. Oversee team day-to-day work priorities, ensure cohesive and high-quality deliverables, meet project deadlines, and take responsibility for engagement and team success.
- Prioritize and manage the sequence of work, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs, while overseeing dependencies among various development teams, ensuring seamless integration and delivery.
- Work with Executives and Leadership to evaluate and recommend adjustments to annual funding practices and intake processes.
- Help implement new ways of thinking and best practices and working while creating a culture focused on value delivery and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate professional level consulting skills, leadership skills, and executive-level communication/presentation skills. Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility to acquire skills to meet business needs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 6+ years of relevant experience as a Technical Project and Program Manager in a large organization (including all project methodologies)
- 5+ years of proven experience in managing data projects, including data warehousing, data lakes and data governance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field (applicable education and experience may be substituted) Master's Degree a plus.
- Thorough understanding of Agile Methodologies, Agile and/or Project Management certifications preferred.
- Experience supervising and leading teams.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, including building and managing data pipelines, implementing data engineering solutions and utilizing Databricks for data analytics and machine learning. Experience driving at least one Databricks project implementation end to end
- Experience with AWS and other cloud platforms, such as Azure or Google Cloud, particularly in deploying and managing Databricks environments a plus.
- SQL Experience and HL7 Healthcare experience preferred.
- Experience with communications and/or stakeholder engagement activities, such as developing communications plans, talking points, and/or presentation materials
- Experience communicating and collaborating with development teams, and being the liaison with customers to understand and translate requirements
- Expertise in PowerPoint, to develop high-profile executive presentations, as well as developing metrics from Agile tracking tools like Jira or Azure DevOps
- Experience creating dashboards and heat maps at various levels
- Excellent creative, conceptual, storytelling, and analytic thinking skills
- Excellent writing skills, strong communication and presentation skills
- Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work in team setting and independently
