We're looking for a seasoned Director of Engineering to lead Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) for our Analytics organization in HDI. This team underpins critical data infrastructure used across our Commercial and Federal government programs. You will be responsible for driving SRE best practices, improving system scalability and performance, and overseeing the reliability of large-scale analytical and data-intensive systems.

Lead and grow a high-performing SRE team supporting analytical platforms, including large-scale database systems.
Define and implement SRE principles such as SLAs/SLOs, incident management, capacity planning, and reliability-focused automation.
Partner with engineering, product, and data teams to ensure scalable and resilient data platforms.
Develop strategies for monitoring, observability, and rapid incident response.
Support and oversee engagements involving federal government systems; ensure operational excellence and compliance.
Lead postmortem processes and drive systemic reliability improvements.
Represent the SRE function in cross-functional planning and roadmap efforts.
Qualifications
Required:
U.S. Citizenship on U.S. soil is required. This position requires you to be eligible to receive a federal security clearance which requires you to ====.
10+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE roles, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership position.
Deep knowledge of distributed systems and large-scale distributed SQL or columnar databases.
Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, observability tools and incident management practices.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with major cloud providers (Oracle Cloud, AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud).
Proven ability to lead and scale teams in complex, production-critical environments.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
Experience supporting analytics platforms at scale (e.g., petabyte-scale data warehouses, real-time analytics, etc.).
Experience leading globally distributed and remote teams.
Experience managing onprem, or private cloud infrastructure.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $122,500 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
