Data Engineer (Snowflake / Power BI) with SQL Expertise , Data Vault , AWS S3 Data Lake and AWS Glue exp - Dallas TX - Onsite work- In Person Interview - Locals Preferred

Job description:

Primary:

  • Experience: 5 8 years in Data Engineering work (preferably Snowflake) and + Knowledge or working experience on PowerBI

  • SQL Expertise: Develop and optimise complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Implement SQL procedures, with a focus on Slowly Changing Dimension (SCD) implementation.
  • Data Warehousing: Expertise in data warehousing principles with a deep understanding of facts and dimensions.
  • Familiarity with Data Vault architecture for scalable and flexible data modelling.
  • Snowflake: Proficient in working with the Snowflake data platform, ensuring the design and implementation of scalable data storage and processing solutions.
  • AWS: Familiar with AWS S3 Data Lake and AWS Glue
  • Airflow: Implement and manage data pipelines using Apache Airflow for scheduling, monitoring, and orchestrating ETL processes.

Secondary:

  • Programming and CI/CD Skills: Utilize Python for data engineering tasks, automation, and scripting. Familiar with CI/CD framework
  • Power BI (Good to Have): Good to have experience in generating reports from Power BI
  • Additional Skills (Good to Have): Working experience with Microsoft BI stack: SSIS, SSAS, SSRS.
