Job Details

In this role, you will be instrumental in strengthening our infrastructure and applications against a constantly evolving landscape of security threats. You'll leverage your expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and Java to design robust security measures and practices. Your proactive approach to identifying vulnerabilities and your knack for creative problem-solving will ensure that our fintech solutions are not only innovative but also secure and reliable. As we are in our early stages, you will have a significant impact on shaping our security culture and practices, and your contributions will be pivotal in building a secure foundation for our growth.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Infrastructure Security: Design, implement, and maintain security measures for cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, ensuring the highest level of protection.
• Application Security: Integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle, particularly with Java applications.
• Container Security: Develop and enforce security standards for containerized environments, with a focus on Kubernetes.
• Threat Detection and Response: Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities in real-time.
• Security Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations, such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, CCPA, and ISO/IEC 27001.
• Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps, IT, and software development teams to implement and maintain security best practices.
• Security Tools: Manage and utilize various security tools and technologies for vulnerability management, threat detection, and incident response.
• Software Development: Contribute to backend Java services when necessary, assisting with QA testing, debugging, and infrastructure support.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and technology advancements. Proactively identify and address security risks.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive security documentation and policies.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proficiency with AWS security tools and services (e.g., IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Security Hub).
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes security best practices and tools (e.g., RBAC, Network Policies).
• Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10, application security principles, and threat modeling.
• Strong understanding of container security technologies (e.g., Docker, Pod Security Policies, image scanning).
• Familiarity with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, endpoint protection).
• Proficiency with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash, Terraform).
• Ability to contribute to server-side engineering and QA workflows as needed.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to security best practices.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in security engineering or related roles.
• Proven experience in securing cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS.
• Strong background in Java development and securing Java applications.
• Experience with Kafka, Redis, MySQL, and DynamoDB.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and managing security in containerized environments.
• Experience in the fintech industry is a plus.
