RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has an enterprise client that is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Redmond, WA.
Summary:
We're looking for an outstanding Mechanical Engineer drafter who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. This person will be responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical design and related analysis specifically for flight critical GSE systems. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in mechanical engineering suited for both prototype and production level designs.
REQUIREMENTS:
* BSc/MSc in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or equivalent
* 5+ years of experience with CAD modeling and 2D drafting
* Experience designing mechanical parts and assemblies
* Experience in DFA, DFM and manufacturing process development, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials
* Proficiency with NX, TeamCenter
* Strong communication and writing skills
Preferred:
* Experience with rapid prototype tooling
* Experience with production tooling
* Experience with design and development of hardware at scale (High End Optics and Precision Mechanisms desired)
* Experience with development, test, deployment of military/aerospace systems
* Experience with GD&T and tolerance analysis
* Experience in project management
* Experience with Mechanical stack-up analysis
* Use of engineering project management software such as JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile tools
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
