Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Harrisburg, PA (Remote Subject to Change to Hybrid/On-site)
Duration: 3 Months (Possible Extension)
About the Role
A public sector agency is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst (BA) to support ongoing initiatives. The analyst will work closely with project stakeholders and technical teams under the direction of project leadership to provide business analysis and related project support. The role begins as remote but may transition to a hybrid or on-site schedule.
Key Responsibilities
< data-start="735" data-end="790">Business Analysis & Stakeholder Collaboration:</>Conduct comprehensive evaluations of current systems and processes.
Facilitate and document requirements elicitation, prioritization, and validation.
Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and development teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
Coordinate outstanding user stories or work items.
Participate in sessions to identify system and business requirements, submit and coordinate deliverables, and facilitate approvals.
Create and update test plans, scripts, and test cases.
Coordinate system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Support accessibility testing to ensure compliance.
Track and report system defects or technical issues during the testing process.
Assist with user training and Go-Live activities.
Document and communicate implementation timelines and changes.
Update project documentation based on post-implementation feedback and results.
Generate implementation outcome reports including session notes, updates to previous documentation, and recommendations for future rollout phases.
Experience Level Senior Business Analyst
This position is classified at a Senior level, defined as:
A minimum of five (5) years of business analysis experience.
Able to work independently without supervision.
Experienced in mentoring and guiding other business analysts.
Demonstrates deep expertise in industry standards and best practices, with the ability to propose improvements to existing processes and methodologies.
Must-Have Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience in business analysis roles.
Proven ability to independently apply analysis techniques and document results.
Skilled in guiding and mentoring less experienced team members.
In-depth understanding of business analysis standards and methodologies, with a continuous improvement mindset.
