Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support Quality Management initiatives for a large-scale healthcare oversight program. This role will focus on analyzing program quality data, preparing performance reports, and supporting continuous improvement across Medicaid and CHIP managed care programs. You will collaborate with program and technical teams to help organize and interpret large datasets related to member outcomes, provider performance, and quality benchmarks. This role will directly support the Department s efforts to ensure that healthcare services meet established standards and deliver positive outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze large datasets related to quality measures, healthcare outcomes, provider performance, and member experience
- Support the development of performance reports using data from sources such as HEDIS, CAHPS, and PA Performance Measures
- Validate, clean, and transform data to support quality dashboards, regulatory reporting, and decision-making
- Assist in compiling data for public and internal reports on pay-for-performance initiatives and value-based purchasing programs
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define metrics and interpret trends related to quality of care
- Assist with formatting, organizing, and preparing data-driven reports and visualizations for internal and external audiences
- Support ongoing efforts to improve data accuracy, consistency, and reporting processes related to healthcare quality monitoring
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a data analyst, preferably in healthcare, public sector, or quality-focused environments
- Strong skills in SQL, Excel, and data visualization/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience working with healthcare quality datasets (e.g., HEDIS, CAHPS, provider performance, utilization metrics)
- Understanding of healthcare quality frameworks, performance measurement, or managed care models
- Ability to work with structured data and interpret results in the context of program goals and compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and comfort working in a highly regulated environment
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Medicaid, CHIP, or similar public health insurance programs
- Experience supporting pay-for-performance or value-based care initiatives
- Exposure to healthcare reporting standards or CMS quality requirements
