GuideWire Developer with P&C Domain

Remote

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience in Guidewire Policy Center Configuration and Integration.
  • Expertise in Gosu programming language. Good understanding of Guidewire data model, Policy lifecycle, and underwriting workflows.
  • Develop and maintain integrations with external systems using Guidewire Integration Framework (GOSU, SOAP/REST APIs, Messaging).
  • Experience with Guidewire Integration Views, Messaging, Batch Processes, and Web Services (SOAP/REST). Familiarity with Guidewire Studio, GUnit, and Guidewire Configuration Best Practices.
  • Working knowledge of Java, JSON, XML, and SQL. Good communication and analytical skills.

Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer/information science or information systems management or equivalent
  • Minimum 10-12 years of IT hands-on application development experience
  • Minimum 5 to 6 years of IT hands-on development experience with Guidewire Policy Center 9.0 or higher
  • Minimum 5 to 6 years of experience in implementing Gunit concepts
  • Proven experience with Configuration and Integration experience with Guidewire Policy Center 9.0 or higher
  • Minimum 3 years of hand on experience with SQL (SQL server/Oracle/DB2)/No SQL related technologies
  • Minimum 2 years of experience integrating with RESTful /SOAP Web services
  • Knowledge of working with monitoring tools like AppDynamics
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design best practices
  • Knowledge of researching and preparing detailed functional specifications
  • Good knowledge of estimating, planning and tracking development tasks
  • Experience with debugging production issues and resolving them
  • Experience with identifying application performance bottlenecks and resolving them
  • In depth hands-on experience with continuous integration practices, processes and tools (Jenkins, GUNIT, GitLab)
  • Proficient in writing configurable, maintainable and testable code in a highly collaborative environment
    Property & Casualty domain knowledge is a plus
