What does a successful Frontend Clover Engineer do at Fiserv?

Clover devices handle the core credit card and point-of-sale (POS) processing for hundreds of thousands of merchants worldwide every day. Behind the scenes, we operate a cloud platform that provides processing, storage, and collaboration for merchants, application developers, service providers, and our merchants.

Our devices and platform are the backbone of millions of payment interactions between merchants and their customers daily. You are a self-starter with a passion for technology who wants to help us impact millions of merchants' lives, one transaction at a time.

What you will do:

• Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team of developers and engineers.
• Own one or more new product/feature from development through deployment, i.e. add new features, resolve bugs, improve the codebase, etc.
• Identify technical requirements in product meetings and assist in realistic planning and feature development. Translate product requirements into functional, maintainable, and extensible software that aligns with company objectives.
• Write automated developer tests for new features and update existing tests as needed.
• Collaborate with other developers and engineers to maintain low response times as new features are designed.
• Develop test plans and strategies with colleagues.
• Participate in a regular on-call rotation.

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, delivering, and supporting critical business applications.
• Experience identifying technical requirements, assisting in project planning, serving as the technical expert for code modules or subsystems and creating process improvements and workflow for problem resolution.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving to identify and resolve application issues.
• Proficiency with the following:
  • JavaScript/TypeScript, Browser DOM APIs, HTML5, CSS, SASS/LESS, and web build systems such as Webpack, Gulp, or Grunt.
  • JavaScript frameworks like React, Ember, Angular, Vue, Extjs, or Backbone.
  • API development and best practices - REST, GraphQL.
  • Prototyping and UI mockup tools, responsive design, designing and building accessible applications.
• Knowledge of relational databases (preferably MySQL) and experience writing SQL queries.
• Experience with cloud environments, (such as Google Cloud Provider), web testing and automation tools and related frameworks (such as Cypress, Selenium, Jest).
• Experience working in an Agile environment with software version control, (such as Git) and an understanding of modern architecture styles; Micro frontends, webpack modules, service workers.

Salary Range

$108,900.00 - $186,800.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey, New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
