Responsibilities

Deputy IT Operations manager for Enterprise Air Force global contract onsite at Hanscom AFB or Scott AFB.

What you'll do:
  • Assists in managing team that provides technical assistance to Air Force bases for computer systems and network users.
  • Helps with oversight for a 24/7/365 Enterprise Service Desk in multiple locations in the US.
  • Takes directives from the Operations manager to carry out the Operations mission to Peraton's excellence standards.
  • Implements policies and procedures regarding how problems are identified, received, documented, distributed, and corrected.
  • Ensures maximum issue resolution in minimum time to meet Service Level Agreements.
  • Coordinates all the shop reports into weekly briefing charts.
  • Conducts briefings to high level officials in the absence of the Operations manager.
  • Assists with running bi-weekly meetings to maintain customer awareness.
  • Ensures Morning Ops reports are ready to brief weekly. May travel to Quarterly Program Management Reviews to assist in presenting accomplishments of the team at company expense.
  • Assists with educational briefs to Operation community that has been migrated to our network.
  • Assists with FAQ and KB documentation for customers on our SharePoint page.
  • Assists in interviewing potential new-hire candidates for the team. Aides in ensuring good communications between all Operations team members.
  • Encourages Operations staff to meet their goals and SLAs.
  • Completes any other duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organization's Values.

Qualifications

6 years of experience.

What you'll need:
  • Must have active DoD Secret clearance
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of all relevant industry standards
  • Knowledge and understanding of best practices for service management
  • Familiarity with Active Directory (AD) and Windows OS devices
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to think critically about systems and to adjust consistently as needed
  • Ability to effectively manage, develop, motivate and train team members
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction for on-site and remote customers
  • Ability to complile documentation and presentations
  • Ability to brief high level officials clearly and effectively

Certifications:
  • ITIL 4 Foundations
  • Security+ CE

Desired Experience:
  • Air Force Network IT experience preferred

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
