Job Details

Job Title: Project Manager

Purpose:
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing large-scale or complex projects to ensure successful delivery of objectives on time and within budget. This role engages and motivates cross-functional teams, manages risks, and ensures comprehensive documentation and communication throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Manager provides end-to-end leadership for implementations, integrations, business readiness, and stakeholder communication.


Essential Functions:

  • 25% Project Planning & Execution:
    Develops and initiates project plans, allocates resources, prepares and manages budgets, monitors timelines, and proactively mitigates risks. Sequences and drives complex initiatives from inception to completion.

  • 25% Project Oversight & Documentation:
    Provides end-to-end support including reporting, tracking deliverables, and maintaining documentation. Acts as a liaison across departments to ensure alignment on goals, scope, and timelines. Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate communication.

  • 15% Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
    Leads cross-functional, matrixed teams by providing direction, motivation, and fostering a collaborative environment. Builds strong relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and leadership. Ensures successful project execution through active engagement.

  • 15% Strategic Evaluation & Process Improvement:
    Analyzes the impact of existing and proposed projects, programs, and policies using critical and creative thinking. Recommends and implements improvements.

  • 10% Strategic Advising:
    Provides mid-level consulting and contributes to strategic planning. Clearly articulates how projects align with broader corporate goals.

  • 10% Executive Communication:
    Translates complex project data into concise, high-level presentations to support executive decision-making. Collaborates with IT to convert business needs into actionable technology plans.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Project Management, Business, or a related field.

  • In lieu of a degree, 4 additional years of relevant work experience is required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years as a Project Manager or in a leadership role managing large budgets.

Preferred:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Expertise in project planning and lifecycle management.

  • Proven ability to initiate and phase out project resources efficiently.

  • Strong understanding of functional integration and strategic alignment.

  • Ability to synthesize complex data into executive-level insights.

  • Skilled in stakeholder management and executive facilitation.

  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence across all levels, including C-suite.

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify high-impact opportunities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.


Additional Information:

The selected candidate must immediately report any debarment, exclusion, or other disqualification from working on federal healthcare programs. The role requires adaptability to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential, especially when working with demanding or high-priority stakeholders.
