Description
The PC Technician serves as a frontline resource for IT support, responsible for deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting desktop hardware and software across the organization. This role focuses on delivering high-quality technical support to end users, ensuring optimal performance of workstations, printers, and peripheral devices. A key responsibility includes participating in the PC refresh cycle as part of the asset lifecycle program. The technician will work both independently and collaboratively to resolve incidents, fulfill service requests, and contribute to a seamless end-user computing experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Perform on-the-fly hardware repairs and replacements to minimize downtime.
  • Provide Tier 1 technical support for hardware, software, connectivity, and user access issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents using remote tools or in-person support, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to SLAs.
  • Participate in PC refresh projects, including imaging, setup, and deployment of new devices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, asset inventory, and user configurations.
  • Assist with workstation, printer, and peripheral maintenance and support.
  • Provide user account setup and authorization support in Active Directory and Azure Active Directory environments.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • Deliver excellent customer service through clear communication, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Support mobile technology and ensure proper configuration and connectivity.
  • Apply ITIL practices to address recurring issues and improve service delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6 months+ of experience in:
    • Desktop support
    • Device deployment
    • Hardware repair and troubleshooting

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
