Job Title - Network Specialist
Work Mode- Hybrid (Irving,TX)
Work Time - 8 AM - 5 PM CST
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Skilled Network Specialist with expertise in securing enterprise networks across cloud, virtual, and on-prem environments. Proficient in firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, DLP, and malware protection. Experienced in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting security infrastructure, managing incidents, and ensuring system integrity and access control.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May perform any or all of the following):
- Provides security engineering support for the infrastructure and applications across multi-site enterprise and data center environments; including the evaluation, design, implementation and troubleshooting of security infrastructure technologies and solutions to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of Clients and customer assets.
- Protects and secures company resources in the cloud, virtual and physical infrastructures.
- Assists in the design, install and support of security technologies such as Firewalls, VPN, Network and Host-Based IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, Wireless Encryption and Content Filtering.
- Assists in design and monitoring security for routers, switches, operating systems, and other technologies.
- Provides input in analysis of system logs to identify unauthorized user or access.
- Design and validate rules engineering for the various access control chokepoints such as firewalls, VPN etc.
- Provides in-depth customer support for information security incidents including internal violations, hacker attacks, virus and system outages.
- Assists in creating validation process such as alerts or procedural flows.
- Be able to troubleshoot complex network problems and provide prompt resolution to them.
- Cloud s firewalls knowledge and experience.
- Work on Firewall s upgrades and improvements
- Be part of the On-Call rotation
- Maintains and administers perimeter security systems such as, but not limited to:
Firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto)
Intrusion Detection / Prevention Systems (Cisco & Palo Alto)
Web Filtering
Data Leakage Protection Systems
Anti-Spam / Anti-Malware (McAfee)
Server Based and Desktop Anti-Virus Systems (McAfee)
VPN (Cisco, Palo Alto)
