Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a seasoned and visionary technical leader of Digital Architecture, Solution Engineering & Platform to lead our digital transformation initiatives. This role will be pivotal in driving the strategic direction and execution of our digital architecture, product/solution engineering, and platform engineering functions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading large-scale successful digital projects, a deep understanding of modern architectural and software engineering principles and methodologies, and the ability to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
This is a pivotal leadership role in the office of the CTO and will collaborate heavily with the AEC domain and Technology experts across Stantec in shaping the next chapter of Stantec's growth and innovation through thoughtful infusion of Digital technologies to realize business value.

About the Team
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the digital architecture and software/solution/product engineering strategy, methodologies and capabilities, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices
Direct and enable the architecture, product/solution engineering and platform engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
Drive the design, development, and implementation of scalable and secure digital solutions and platforms, across the IT-OT-ET space - Ability to drive value stream analysis and identify continuous opportunities for improvement
Ensure seamless integration of digital solutions with existing systems and infrastructure, while aligning to Stantec standards and policies - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, product management, Data/AI, Consulting, and business units, to deliver innovative digital solutions
Establish and enforce digital architectural & engineering standards, guidelines, and best practices - Advise FST and IT teams as needed on Solution/Enterprise architectural needs
Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement
Manage and mentor a team of digital architects, engineers, and platform specialists
Develop and manage the digital architecture, engineering and platform budget, ensuring cost-effective delivery of solutions
Represent the digital architecture, engineering and platform function in executive meetings and strategy discussions - Be a thought leader and a key face of Stantec's digital eminence internally and externally
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and scaling high-performing teams.
Strong knowledge of modern architectural principles, cloud technologies, and enterprise systems. - Certified Microsoft Azure Solution Architect (or another Hyperscaler like AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
- Considerable knowledge of & experience with OT / Edge / IoT, and/or Industrial Automation preferred
- Deep and hands-on knowledge of modern programming models, languages, frameworks, including Microsoft, Databricks, Atlassian technologies
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Experience in the AEC industry or neighborhood industries is a plus

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in digital solution & enterprise architecture, solution engineering, and platform engineering roles, with last 5+ years in a technical leadership capacity in a scaled enterprise setting
