Senior BI Developer

Position: Senior BI Developer

Location: Remote

Job Mode: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage BI development workstreams with a hands-on approach.
• Design and develop dashboards and reports in Power BI and Tableau.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineering and other technical teams.
• Ensure alignment with SDLC processes and release management best practices.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and manage expectations.
• Provide hands-on support in troubleshooting, optimization, and delivery.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in Power BI and Tableau development.
• Familiarity with enterprise data warehousing and tools.
• Working experience in insurance reporting.
• Connecting data sources, importing data, and transforming data for business intelligence.
• Adept in developing, publishing, and scheduling Power BI reports.
• Developing visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Tableau.
• Extensive knowledge of Tableau functions, including transformations, filters, prompts, calculated fields, sets, groups, parameters, graphs, and forecasts.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.
• Advanced SQL writing skills and a strong understanding of relational and dimensional data models
• Proficiency with SQL programming.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and understand complex business requirements and translate them into reporting solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Effective spreadsheet modeling skills.
