Work is during standard business hours, however, testing events may take place in evening hours. Overtime work and work during non-standard business hours can occur during surge events.

What You Will Do:
  • You will work onsite at the FAA's Technical Center for Advanced Aerospace working directly with our customer
  • You will support software development to include technical documentation, software testing, software enhancements, bug fixes, and troubleshooting.
  • You will work as an individual and as part of a team, meeting deadlines and providing accurate compliant solutions.
  • You will be required to obtain a Department of Transportation Clearance.

Must Have Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience in software engineering or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 3 years of prior relevant experience in software engineering
  • Prior experience in C/C++ programming languages and SQL
  • Prior experience in a Linux/Unix operating environment

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience with ClearCase; Red Hat Linux; Python, Java J2EE / .Net; Oracle database and HTML / QT/GTK
  • Experience with software testing methodologies: integration, testing process, validation activities, automated testing, software test and analysis tools
  • Experience with designing and creating technical documentation
  • Experience with STARS or other similar Air Traffic Control systems

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
