Department Context

ITS Corporate Solutions (ITSCO) partners with the World Bank Group's Corporate vice presidencies to drive innovation, build effective partnerships, and empower staff to deliver on the promise of a Better Bank. The department's three key units deliver scalable mission-critical IT solutions, ensuring a robust and effective digital architecture based on an evolving ITS strategy. ITSCO comprises three Units: Digital Engagement (ITSCD), Corporate Technology (ITSCC), and Workforce Solutions (ITSWS).

Duties and Responsibilities:

We are seeking an Advisor to the Director & Chief Information Officer of Corporate Solutions (ITSCO). This role is responsible for supporting the successful implementation of the WBG Digital Transformation Strategy by overseeing the following core responsibilities: (i) advisory and strategic planning, (ii) business and stakeholder engagement, (iii) front office management, and iv) communications and decision support.

The Advisor will report to the Director & Chief Information Officer of Corporate Solutions. Below is a summary of the expected duties and accountabilities, among others:

Specific Responsibilities

Develop and lead the execution of the Director's strategic engagements and relationship building with key internal and external stakeholders.
Support the Director with communications to ITSCO staff, WB staff, business partners, and other audiences.
Assist the Director in the development of a departmental strategy that aligns with the broader ITS strategy and ensures delivery against ITS-wide objectives and OKRs, during a time of change and transformation.
Serve as point person in the department for the collection, coordination, and reporting of initiatives to ITSVP, MDCAO, and senior management (ITS Pulse, MD reports and briefings, Rallying Cry, OKRs, ad hoc requests, etc.).
Ensure appropriate follow through on actions, decisions, and commitments made by the Director by working with ITSCO managers and teams responsible for implementation.
Manage business engagement, portfolio governance, and quarterly reviews for Annual Investment Planning process.
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the ITSCO Front Office to ensure information sharing, collaboration, and division and coverage of accountabilities.
Lead the organization and delivery of department-wide events, including departmental meetings, workshops, BBLs, community building events, and more.
Lead by example to contribute toward establishing and promoting a positive and inclusive culture within ITSCO, aligning with organizational values and objectives, and promoting psychological safety.
Work with product teams to guide them with product positioning, communication, rollout, and end-user engagement; serve as point person between ITSCO and ITSTM/ITS-ECR.
Embrace and promote Agile methodology and ways of working across the department.

Selection Criteria

A master's degree in communications, business, technology management, international relations/development, marketing or other related disciplines, with a minimum of five years of relevant work experience; or a bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of relevant work experience
Experience working in a fast-paced and global technology organization engaged in digital and organizational transformation.
Strong organizational skills and excellent judgment, with the ability to handle multiple tasks, stay detail-oriented, and focus on top priorities
Proven ability to prioritize key issues, balance strategic goals with immediate needs, and deliver results under tight deadlines and limited resources.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with a team-oriented approach and a proven ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
Ability to develop high impact business communications and materials, on a variety of topics and across a range of formats.
Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
Excellent verbal and written English language skills.
Strong partnership building skills to connect with various stakeholders to create opportunities to collaborate, co-create and innovate.
Experience working across different teams in the WBG is preferred, demonstrating strong familiarity with WBG culture, operations, and norms.
Certified in Agile methodologies and strong familiarity with Agile ways of working
