Voluntary Residential Services Oversight (VRSO) Clinician

About the Role

We are seeking a VRSO Clinician to support children involved in mental health and child services programs. This role focuses on evaluating youth at risk of or currently in residential care, ensuring individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with families, residential providers, and case management teams. The Clinician will monitor care delivery, guide placement decisions, and contribute to discharge planning to support youth’s long-term success.

Responsibilities

• Assess youth needs using key documentation, evaluations, and clinical assessments.

• Collaborate with families, case managers, and residential providers to determine appropriate levels of care.

• Monitor service delivery and participate in monthly care team meetings.

• Conduct on-site visits with youth in residential placements.

• Prepare required reports, including court and case documentation.

• Support prior authorizations and placement logistics for services.

• Contribute to discharge planning and identify community-based support resources.

• Assist with special projects and additional duties to support program goals.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work or related human services field required; Doctorate preferred.

• Active clinical license (Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Mental Health Counselor).

• 2+ years of clinical intervention experience; 3+ years human services experience preferred.

• Familiarity with clinical assessment tools and Wraparound principles.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and coordinate across teams.

• Valid driver’s license; bilingual skills a plus.
