Description: Job Description: Manufacturing Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining, material handling, and processing.
- Design efficient plant layouts and machine arrangements to maximize productivity and workflow.
- Define the sequence of operations and establish procedures for tool and equipment fabrication, ensuring alignment with product performance requirements.
- Adapt machine and equipment designs to meet specific factory and production conditions.
- Integrate inspection and testing requirements into production plans to ensure quality standards are met.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools; identify inefficiencies and initiate corrective actions to maintain product quality.
- Implement manufacturing processes that support statistical process control (SPC) and develop related techniques as needed.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to provide guidance on design concepts and specification requirements, ensuring optimal use of equipment and manufacturing methods.
- Ensure all processes and procedures comply with applicable regulations and standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), specifically in the Plated Through Hole (PTH) area.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with:
- Component preparation
- Wave soldering
- Selective soldering
- Automated Optical Inspection (AOI)
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards.
- Experience with CCA and PTH assembly processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience with conformal coating spray processes.
