Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled AWS Data Engineer with 5 6 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud-native ETL/ELT workflows, data lake and warehouse architecture, and proficiency in modern data processing tools and programming languages.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines using AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, EMR, and Data Pipeline.
Develop and manage data lakes and data warehouses using S3, Redshift, and Athena.
Implement data ingestion frameworks from multiple sources including APIs, RDBMS, streaming platforms, and flat files.
Build and maintain scalable data models and schemas for analytics and reporting.
Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and business teams to ensure data availability and quality.
Manage data quality, validation, and governance processes.
Monitor pipeline performance and optimize data storage and compute costs.
Implement security and compliance best practices using IAM, KMS, and AWS Secrets Manager.

Required Skills & Experience:

Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, and Athena.
Proficiency in ETL/ELT development using AWS Glue, PySpark, and SQL.
Strong programming skills in Python and PySpark.
Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and performance optimization.
Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines using tools like AWS CodePipeline or GitHub Actions.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging using CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Step Functions.
Knowledge of data quality, validation, and governance frameworks.

Good to Have:

Experience with streaming data using Kinesis or Kafka.
Exposure to Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code.
Knowledge of ML pipelines or analytics visualization tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect certification preferred.
