Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled AWS Data Engineer with 5 6 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud-native ETL/ELT workflows, data lake and warehouse architecture, and proficiency in modern data processing tools and programming languages.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines using AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, EMR, and Data Pipeline.

  • Develop and manage data lakes and data warehouses using S3, Redshift, and Athena.

  • Implement data ingestion frameworks from multiple sources including APIs, RDBMS, streaming platforms, and flat files.

  • Build and maintain scalable data models and schemas for analytics and reporting.

  • Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and business teams to ensure data availability and quality.

  • Manage data quality, validation, and governance processes.

  • Monitor pipeline performance and optimize data storage and compute costs.

  • Implement security and compliance best practices using IAM, KMS, and AWS Secrets Manager.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, and Athena.

  • Proficiency in ETL/ELT development using AWS Glue, PySpark, and SQL.

  • Strong programming skills in Python and PySpark.

  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and performance optimization.

  • Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines using tools like AWS CodePipeline or GitHub Actions.

  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging using CloudWatch and CloudTrail.

  • Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Step Functions.

  • Knowledge of data quality, validation, and governance frameworks.


Good to Have:

  • Experience with streaming data using Kinesis or Kafka.

  • Exposure to Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.

  • Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code.

  • Knowledge of ML pipelines or analytics visualization tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI.


Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.

  • AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect certification preferred.
