Transit Construction Inspector

Required Skills:

• Demonstrated ability to detect deficiencies or defects and be able to identify or provide input on remedial actions that are required to repair the track.
• Have detailed knowledge of applicable American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA), Pennsylvania Public Utilities Commission (PUC) General Orders, and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), Federal Transit Administration (FTA), and American Public Transportation Association (APTA) track requirements and track safety standards.
• Experience and knowledge in inspecting and monitoring all aspects of track work including but not limited to field weld testing, tie installation, open plinth, paved track work construction, and special track work installation.
• Measure, calculate, and document quantities of installed materials in accordance with client policies and procedures.
• Monitor construction for compliance with project documents.
