We are partnering with our client in Dallas to hire a Software Developer to join their team on a full-time basis.

The software developer will develops, tests, and participate in the technical design of new product offerings and enhancements using MVC, VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET, Web API, and relational databases with an emphasis on AWS development. Supports existing applications while collaborating with members of the QA, Product Management, and Customer Care teams to troubleshoot and implement corrective actions. This position will also work on API development with an emphasis on AWS technologies.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works on assigned projects either independently or as a member of a team to code enhancements, new applications, and/or fix bugs on existing products.
  • Implements projects in a manner that adheres to department policies, standards, and specifications.
  • Performs unit testing to ensure the proper implementation and functioning of requirements.
  • Participates in the technical design to ensure that business rules are properly identified and implemented.
  • Participates in code reviews to develop and share knowledge learned from projects.
  • Prepares deployment and implementation documentation as necessary to allow for the proper promotion and support of the functionality being delivered.
  • Performs troubleshooting and resolves reported issues regarding the proper functioning of systems.
  • Contributes to the success of projects by freely sharing knowledge and mentoring other team members.
  • Interacts with team members, management, and customers cooperatively and professionally by:
    • Communicating openly, honestly, and constructively
    • Treating all employees and customers with dignity, respect, and courtesy
    • Taking responsibility to resolve concerns and problems (i.e., communication, trust, and respect) within the team, department, and with customers

QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Bachelor or Associate Degree in Computer/IS-related field or equivalent work-related industry experience
  • Proficiency in AWS Services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, and DynamoDB
  • Knowledge of AWS integration services like AWS Step Functions, AWS Data Pipeline, API, messaging queues, and event-driven architecture
  • Proficiency in working with databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, or other relational databases
  • Knowledge of implementing integration solutions using technologies like RESTful APIs, SOAP, JSON, and XML
  • Experience deploying, managing, scaling, and maintaining integration solutions on AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Experience developing Web Applications using MVC, VB.NET, Angular2, C#, and ASP.NET
  • Experience with Classic ASP is a plus
  • Experience with client-side coding techniques using JavaScript
  • Experience with service-oriented architectures using SOAP
  • Experience with design and documentation tools
  • Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders, understand integration requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to diagnose and resolve integration issues.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative environment
  • Willingness to stay updated with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in software development
  • 3 plus years of development experience
