TalentFish is casting a line for a ServiceNow Application Engineer. This is a REMOTE Direct Hire role located in NY, DC, LA, Houston, or Dallas metro areas.  

 

Overview

  • This position exists to support and extend the company’s enterprise ServiceNow platform, which serves as the ‘system of record’ for IT operations including Change Management, CMDB, Incident Management, Asset Management, and more.
  • The ServiceNow Application Engineer will play a critical role in maintaining platform health, stability, and security while contributing to the design and implementation of new solutions and integrations.


What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience)

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working with ITSM and ITOM modules.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working with cross-functional IT operations teams.
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience administering and developing within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Understanding of ServiceNow best practices in coding, workflows, etc.
  • Experience with ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management Pro (HAM Pro) preferred
  • Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM frameworks are preferred.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB best practices strongly desired including Common Services Data Model (CSDM), Discovery (Automated Horizontal Discovery), and Service Mapping (Automated Vertical Discovery).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.


What You'll Do (Skills Used in this Position)

  • Lead administrative functions within the ServiceNow platform including configuration changes, patching, and upgrades.
  • Assist with development tasks following ServiceNow best practices and platform standards.
  • Support daily operations of the ServiceNow platform, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Monitor and maintain ServiceNow MID Servers for uptime and accurate configuration.
  • Collaborate on integrations with external systems using Integration Hub and other tools.
  • Gather and document business requirements, write detailed user stories, and define acceptance criteria using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Ensure platform compliance with security policies and ISO 27001/2 standards.
  • Support ITSM processes and contribute to governance and compliance efforts.
  • Design and develop dashboards and reports for various business stakeholders.


Compensation and Employment

This role requires authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. The expected salary range for this position is $100,000-$130,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for full comprehensive employee benefits program and the opportunity to earn bonuses based on individual contribution and firm profitability.
