This position plays a key role in ensuring product excellence and customer satisfaction across diverse sectors including energy, data centers, refrigeration, and HVAC.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Quality Control function in alignment with company goals and quality assurance systems.
- Oversee internal and external audits, certifications, and compliance documentation.
- Develop and implement job-specific quality plans and inspection procedures.
- Communicate directly with customers regarding inspection protocols, process improvements, and corrective actions.
- Maintain and report key quality metrics (e.g., FPY, COPQ, supplier OTD, supplier quality).
- Conduct vendor surveys for qualification, surveillance, and corrective actions.
- Supervise and develop Quality Control personnel; manage departmental budgets and staffing.
- Represent the customer's perspective to enhance satisfaction and product quality.
- Maintain the Quality Control Manual and ensure adherence to regulatory and company standards.
- Participate in quality management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality Control, including dimensional inspection, calibration systems, and code compliance (AWS, NEC).
- Experience in ISO 9000 or continuous improvement environments.
- Familiarity with ASME codes and nondestructive testing (preferred).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, regulatory codes, and quality charts.
- Skilled in modern problem-solving techniques and root cause analysis.
- Occasional travel (up to 20%) by land and/or air; must be eligible for a passport.
- Ability to work on-site with regular attendance and punctuality.
