Title: Cybersecurity Project Manager

Terms of Employment:

W2 Contract, 12 Months (Likely Extension)

This is a hybrid position requiring onsite work 1-3 days per week and travel between Byron, Braidwood, and Quad Cities. (Note: The hiring manager has a preference for candidates located near Braidwood or Dresden). No per diem is provided for travel.

Overview & Responsibilities:

Join a leading energy firm as an IT Project Manager focused on securing critical nuclear infrastructure. In this high-visibility role, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of complex cybersecurity projects, including hardware and software implementations. You will lead project teams, manage budgets exceeding $2 million annually, and serve as a key point of communication for all internal and external stakeholders. This position reports to the Principal Project Manager within the nuclear cyber security division. You will

Manage IT cybersecurity projects from initiation through closeout.

Provide leadership and direction for project team members.

Pursue cost reductions and maximize value on all assigned projects.

Directly manage projects with an aggregate annual cash flow of over $2 million.

Socialize project communications and manage negotiations with internal and external organizations.

Ensure all projects are delivered within the set parameters of cost, quality, and schedule.

Required Qualifications:

Must be able to pass extensive "critical group" screening: This includes a comprehensive background check, psychological test, and drug screening.

PMP Certification (Active) and 6+ years of dedicated IT project management experience with a particular focus in cybersecurity infrastructure OR 10+ years of IT project management experience with a particular focus in cybersecurity infrastructure.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Engineering, or a similar field.

Must be local to the Greater Chicagoland area and able to travel between Braidwood, Byron, and Quad Cities (1-3 days/week onsite) without per diem
