Job Title: Epic HB Claims Analyst

Position Overview

The Epic HB Claims Analyst is responsible for supporting, configuring, optimizing, and maintaining the Hospital Billing (HB) and Claims functionality within the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system. This role works closely with clinical, revenue cycle, finance, and IT stakeholders to ensure accurate claim generation, billing workflows, and compliance with regulatory requirements. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as subject-matter expert for Epic HB and Claims modules, including configuration, build, testing, and support activities.

  • Analyze business requirements, workflows, and revenue cycle processes to translate into system build and enhancements.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot claim edits, rejections, and errors to ensure clean claim submission. 

  • Collaborate with operational and IT teams to streamline billing and claims workflows. 

  • Support upgrades, patches, system enhancements, and testing (unit, integration, UAT). 

  • Document system build, business processes, and user guides for operational support and training. 

  • Provide end-user support, training, and troubleshooting for Epic HB Claims users. 

  • Participate in cross-functional meetings, governance, and change-control processes.
