Description: This is only a 3 month project.
The IT Asset Specialist 1 supports the receipt, distribution, inventory, and overall disposition of
Information Technology & Services equipment, including but not limited to computers, servers,
monitors, and related IT consumables. The role involves maintaining real-time reports on current
inventory levels, conducting quarterly inventories of all IT stock, and performing tasks according to
established policies, procedures, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.

Required Skillsets needed:
1. Inventory Management: Keep IT asset inventory stocked, organized, and accurately accounted for
using automated systems (ServiceNow). Reconcile ordered hardware, software, peripherals, printers,
monitors, laptops, and tablets against what has been received. Apply property tags to all equipment per
standard operating procedures, log all equipment disbursement to employees, and annotate equipment
decommissioning in the system of record.
2. Asset Tracking: Maintain a current inventory of all IT assets, including their location and responsible
individual. Assign cost centers for all assets and annotate any fixed assets (CAPEX) for tracking and
reporting. Manage hardware stock levels and identify re-order points based on current stock and
forecasted demands.
3. Lifecycle Management Compliance: Ensure compliance with lifecycle management processes for all IT
assets including procurement, receiving, distribution, and decommissioning. Assist management with
process improvement initiatives to enhance the quality, timeliness, and performance of lifecycle
processes through improved tools, communication, and data analysis.4.
4. Coordination and Communication: Act as a point of contact for internal departments and external
vendors to ensure requirements are understood and equipment is properly ordered, billed, deployed,
tracked, and inventoried.
5. Support for Endpoint/Desktop Services: Coordinate the procurement, delivery, and inventory
management of IT assets for IT&S Endpoint/Desktop Support Services personnel at remote sites. Ensure
timely equipment delivery and inventory accountability for Support personnel.
Strong attention to detail; skilled in organizing, managing, and evaluating complex inventory and
distribution processes.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
