RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Smithfield, RI that is seeking a .NET Software Engineer.
Design and Develop Applications:
* Build scalable and maintainable applications using the .NET framework (e.g., ASP.NET, .NET Core)
* Develop front-end and back-end components using technologies like C#, Razor, Blazor, or JavaScript frameworks
* Work closely with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions
* Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
* Refactor, debug, and optimize legacy code to improve performance and maintainability
* Implement enhancements and fix bugs based on user feedback and testing
* Design and manage relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and integrate with Entity Framework or Dapper
* Ensure applications follow secure coding practices and comply with industry standards
* Apply SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean architecture methodologies
* Write unit, integration, and automated tests using tools like xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest
* Collaborate with QA teams to ensure software meets quality standards
* Use CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) to automate builds, testing, and deployments
* Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues
* Create and maintain technical documentation for code, APIs, and system architecture
* Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing
REQUIREMENTS:
* .NET experience
* .NET API work experience
Nice to have:
* Java experience
* Spring experience
* Angular experience
* Cloud exposure
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
